Education Africa

Education Africa is a non-profit organisation with a proud track record of successful delivery on its thriving projects.

Established in 1992. Education Africa strives to reach and uplift the poorest of the poor. We aim to assist disadvantaged South Africans in their quest to obtain a quality, relevant education in order to ensure that they are in a position to become global citizens and a competitive, productive element in the local job market.

Education Africa delivers economy-focused education while assisting those most in need with opportunities to improve their access to relevant education to participate in delivering Africa’s education renaissance. With the continued help and support of our dedicated volunteers and sponsors, we can continue to fulfil our mission statement to deliver quality education to the poorest of the poor.

Rays of Hope

Rays of Hope is a Section-21 (non- profit) organization which manages a large number of social outreach projects in Alexandra Township (Alex) in northern Johannesburg. The organization aims to enable individuals and families to improve all aspects of their lives, thereby creating a lasting impact on the broader Alex residential community.

Rays of Hope started operating with one project in 1991. The organization has grown to a network of 11 community-based projects, focusing on unemployment, health care, education, psycho-social care, asses-based community developments and orphans and vulnerable children. As such, the organisation is “ hands on” in Alex, having developed close relationships with the community leaders, the police, High Schools, the Alexandra Clinic and the Department of Social Development, which has enabled it to leverage appropriate assistance where available.

Masibambane College

Masibambane College is an Anglican Diocesan school initiated and supported by Education Africa and St Johns College. The school initially started out as a primary school whose construction was funded primarily by the City of Vienna. With the investment made by the City of Vienna, Education Africa was able to begin the building of Misibambane College Primary school in 1996 and from humble beginnings, the school as grown into a quality educational institution catering for the needs of over 700 learners.

The year 2010 saw the official opening of the Masibambane College High School whose construction was funded by CEDAR Foundation Canada).

Masibambane College is situated in Orange Farm, an enormous township situated about 50 km south of Johannesburg, South Africa
